Wherein Fr. Rossman is asked some tough questions

I wanted to point everyone to a unique Catholic blog in Kansas City, Journal of God's Call. Fr. Rossman is a young priest in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, and he currently got a post up titled ”I have issues…”about some questions posed to him by his parishioners at Prince of Peace in Olathe, Kansas. Two children’s groups and an adult mothers’ group have asked some interesting questions that he will endeavor to answer on his blog.

I’m really interested to see how the answers turn out for some politically, liturgically, morally and rhetorically charged questions.

The only Problem I have with Fr. Rossman is that he HATES wearing his cassock!

Hi anon-- in the grand scope of things, I'm not sure that's the Church's biggest problem. Overall, I haven't seen many parish priests wearing cassocks anymore. I read somewhere that they were/are discouraged for wear outside of the church or rectory buildings, but I'm not sure how accurate that was/is. I like them though-- they convey how Catholic clergy are called to a different life than the rest of the world. But Fr. Rossman is a sign of good, fertile ground in the Church, cassocks notwithstanding.
